MrWhooz
Nevermind, it seems the problem lies with the nighthawks wireless.
abc123
So sounds resolved? I'm assuming you had the nighthawk still setup as a DHCP server
MrWhooz
No, i had it ap mode, but it seems like automatically assign ip addresses is a hit or miss. I don't even know why it is doing this because it was working perfectly before.

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 8, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 8, 2015 No, i had it ap mode, but it seems like automatically assign ip addresses is a hit or miss. I don't even know why it is doing this because it was working perfectly before. So just to check. When you connect directly to the Netduma, everything is ok? But when you connect to the Nighthawk in AP mode which is connected to the Netduma, sometimes IPs don't get assigned properly and you get that weird gateway IP? PharmDawgg
Have you tried doing you setup without the Nighthawk at all to see if the R1 works properly? Use the R1 wireless instead of the Nighthawk atleast until we figure it out. Remove the Nighthawk totatlly from the setup. I'm just curious if it is the Nighthawk or the R1. MrWhooz
Yessir @Crossy @Buck Nasssty, the internet only works if i assign a static ip address.
MrWhooz
I dont know if this will help but here is the device manager page on the netduma:
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 8, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 8, 2015 So the IPs that have been assigned which are in a different network are probably because of the static IPs you set before. Then when you reconnect them the Netduma it is probably trying to give them the same IP (which in this case is a bad one). So if you reboot the Netduma then connect everything with an automatic IP, does it work?
MrWhooz
No it didnt work This is what it says when i put it on automatic:

MrWhooz
That didnt work either :*( It still assigning the wrong ips. Do you think that it may be my isp doing something?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 8, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 8, 2015 That didnt work either :*( It still assigning the wrong ips. Do you think that it may be my isp doing something? No - I don't think that this would be everything to do with the ISP. Was this still through the Nighthawk or was it through just the Netduma? Could you try Buck's suggestion and try remove the Nighthawk and connect the devices directly to the Netduma?
MrWhooz
I removed the nighthawk completely, and it actually seems like the nighthawk is getting the same wrong information. Its bother routers having this problem which is quite odd.

Its bother routers having this problem which is quite odd. And with the Nighthawk removed completely, is the Netduma still giving out bad IPs to the devices. If it is, now that you've remove the Nighthawk could you reboot the Netduma again and see if it keeps getting bad IPs when connected directly to it. Could you also confirm that your devices are definitely connected with an automatic IP.

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 9, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 9, 2015 Yes, the bad false ip issue still continues. On your PC that has the bad IP, can you go into command prompt and type 'ipconfig release' and then 'ipconfig renew' and finally 'ipconfig' and screen shot the results of the final one
