mygamertagsucks Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Hey Guys and Gals, I just checked my PS5 network settings, and was caught off- guard by the fact my primary DNS server is somehow 192.168.1.1 Im on an XR1000v2 for whAt it's worth. Im hardwired into my PS5 (no, I don't have the PS5 hardwired into the Ethernet port on the back of the router.)
DanologyUK Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago That just means it will be using the DNS server IPs as set on your router. You can manually set DNS on your PS if you really want to but changing your DNS doesnt help with gaming and it doesnt help with improving your ping etc.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 3 hours ago Administrators Posted 3 hours ago As above, devices will show the DNS of the router they're connected to and then will use the DNS the router has set
