alex.devine Posted Wednesday at 04:52 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:52 PM Hi, I can't seem to fix the failed nat type. Is there anything I can do?
DanologyUK Posted Wednesday at 07:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:15 PM What is your setup? What is the device your ISP provide?
alex.devine Posted Thursday at 07:55 AM Author Posted Thursday at 07:55 AM Hi, Sorry, that would help. Using EE full fibre with the R3 direct from the hub on the wall. Should i use the EE router > R3?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 03:22 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 03:22 PM That should be fine, if you disable the Geo-Filter and re-do the test/restart the console and re-do the test do you get the same issue?
alex.devine Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Author Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Hi Fraser, I get a Type 2 when I remove the Geo-Filter!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 07:44 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 07:44 PM Okay so you don't need to worry then, you'll have an Open NAT, the Geo-Filter is just blocking the server its using to test your NAT, it's not actually causing a strict NAT. There is likely a blocked icon on the map when you do the test that you can allow if you'd like but it's not necessary. alex.devine 1
