I have been having some issues with my download speeds lately, as they have been getting capped at 100 Mbps by god knows what, but I am supposed to be getting 1Gb. I have tried everything including updating firmware, even to the Beta versions, and have had no luck, I checked my ethernet cable, and found nothing wrong with it and no damage to it. Sometimes after restarting the router and modem, it gives me the full speed, but then after 5 minutes, it goes back down. I have tried messing with the channels and width's of my Wifi, still nothing, and I have also checked to see in windows if anything was wrong. Any solutions? Please and thank you.

I have found a solution, which was to reset my router to factory settings. I will see if this lasts until tomorrow and update this post tomorrow.

Glad to hear it's working for the moment, do keep us posted

Update, Day 2

The speeds have reverted to low speeds on both ethernet and wifi, I just tested them, and both came out to about 93mbps.

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Are ALL devices connected to the R3?

Have you entered those speeds into the router?

How have you setup Congestion Control?

How have you setup SmartBOOST?

It seems that I have found that everytime I disconnect and reconnect my WAN cable to the R3 I find that the speeds revert back to normal speeds, I don't know how long they last but I will try downloading something to see if they do.

my Modem's model is an Arris S33 and as far as I know I have not seen any settings for my modem, and I don't know how to access them. All of my devices are connected to the R3 and I have the speeds set to the speeds that my provider is supposed to be giving me, which is gigabit on download.

I have congestion control at 100%

And I do not have SmartBoost enabled.

When it happens again, connect directly to your modem and see if the same issue happens. It may seem counterintuitive but set Congestion Control to 70% for download & upload and see if it happens again

So far the speeds have stayed at full and havent dipped down after setting the congestion control to 70%, Im going to see if I can get the password to log into my modem through the web portal so I can check what settings it may have.

Good to hear! I think it's a pure modem so you can ignore that part

@BigPapytoIt’s likely an issue with your Ethernet cable. Try replacing it with a new one or using a different cable to check if the problem persists. Don’t use the same cable. I would guess you’re using the one that came in the package, which some came faulty. Just something to point out....they may work as intended but randomly do drop to 100Mbps instead of using full throughput due to bad coiling, etc.
