terry_b Posted Monday at 12:36 AM Posted Monday at 12:36 AM Some games are great, and other games it seems like there's so much de-sync that it's like a totally different game. I have noticed that while it says oklahoma, at times I have a ping of 20ms on the router, and 20ish in game. other times netduma will show a ping of 100+ and I have to leave the game because it's miserable. Hopefully these fixes will help, because when hits register correctly, it's great. half my games there are a couple people who will basically OHK me with "super bullets" anytime I'm even in their field of view, meanwhile I can unload and just get damage markers.

We've specifically fixed the Oklahoma issue so I'm sure it will improve!

The only two servers that exist for the game are Frankfurt and London in Europe, and you'll never be connected to a third one in Europe. lefteris.lydios 1

You say fake like we've done it on purpose, as I mentioned previously if during re-tests we find that not to be the case we will change it. I'll also double check with the team. 1 minute ago, lefteris.lydios said: even when the game boots up ? Depends on the game, usually just CoD that happens with, I haven't checked myself with BF6, do you see a lot of servers when booting up?

The game is flawless connection wise with or without R3.

lefteris.lydios Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago I'm not a Network expert by any means. I am just a casual - weekend only - gamer. Maybe what I'm about to say will sound stupid, but why can't you guys just take advantage of the Browse Servers option in the game and reverse engineer it in order to pinpoint the server we are connected to? I did some testing and I joined the furthest server possible and magically Sydney server lit up in Geo Filter (probably correct) . BTW Oklahoma server was also lit but that's not a problem because I've already booked a flight to Oklahoma to C4 this god damn POS. My point is, use Browse Servers as a tool. adro 1

It's not stupid, certainly an idea that seems obvious but in the EA user agreement it states "You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract or otherwise use source code or other data from EA Services, unless expressly authorized by EA or permitted by law." So even if we were to consider it, legally that wouldn't be a good idea to do so. Also the server browser just retrieves their server IPs and they know where those locations are of course and they will be retrieved from the server itself, something we can't do. The router can retrieve those IP addresses and that's how they appear on the map. IP databases (databases that identify the location that belongs to an IP address) can be quite inaccurate or at least slow to update (unless you own your own database/you're putting a lot of money into it) so that's why the locations for the IPs of the servers can sometimes be incorrectly located on the map. When we become aware of this we correct it and our own game server IP database becomes just a little bit more accurate. However, the issue is that they will sometimes bring in new servers that have different IPs etc and then the location becomes out of data for us again so its a bit of a constant tug of war trying to keep the locations up to date. For the most part the servers are shown correctly and we just need to do little updates to correct the ones that aren't. lefteris.lydios 1
terry_b Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Still seeing OKC... but ping is also reflecting a closer server? Still lots of desync in the game too. I tried removing the device from geofilter, resyncing and adding it again, then starting game. I even did a full network reset, and flush DNS... Maybe cheap servers in AAA games today just don't care.

Ace_Uk1000 Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago I've connected to the dublin and London servers a few times, but it's normally Oklahoma or Frankfurt, and then you get the people who have super bullets that follow you around corners, or they're just bullet sponges where as you take 1 shot and your dead

The Oklahoma location showing up a lot will be resolved in the cloud update this week
