lefteris.lydios Posted Sunday at 05:08 AM Posted Sunday at 05:08 AM Hi. Geofilter doesn’t seem to be working with this game. I know it’s a bit early but I wanted to know if the team is working on it. thx
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 04:32 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 04:32 PM It does already support it, do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter If you're on PC then give it the PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Does it work then?
Fra_Circa Posted Sunday at 05:40 PM Posted Sunday at 05:40 PM Hi the problem is that even though you see the servers populate, there is a server located in oklamha city that it connects to first (outside of the filter) and i think this server bypasses the filtering and connects me to regular servers
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM So on the map it's showing this server in Oklahoma city and then a controller icon outside your radius also? Disable Geo-Latency, does it work better then?
lefteris.lydios Posted Sunday at 06:45 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:45 PM Didn't work @Netduma Fraser I can confirm Oklahoma server (1GAUTR) pops up as an active-allowed server but I am never connected to it. TBH I don't even know what server I am in. I disabled Geo Latency as you suggested in another thread and I'll let you know.
lefteris.lydios Posted Sunday at 06:57 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:57 PM Here is a screenshot with the issue: I have Geofilter on UAE and SA servers , the Host says Oklahoma with a ridiculously low ping and my in game ping shows ~35 ms meaning I am somewhere within EU. Probably Amsterdam. My GeoLatency is off.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Sunday at 07:05 PM Administrators Posted Sunday at 07:05 PM It's a German server so it's a mislocated server, I'll get the team to correct it. Make sure you follow the steps I mentioned again, as you're on a console actually shut it down (not in standby/instant on), make sure the Geo-Filter is enabled before you turn on the console and do not change Geo-Filter settings while on the game. Ping Assist should also be off and try just with the normal radius and moving your location to force the server you want or do the country selection instead.
Ritchie1909 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago That Oklahoma problem is a recurring issue as there were a mountain of they dislocated servers there for call of duty too. Mine wouldn't connect to them if they were outside my zones mind you.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 12 hours ago Administrators Posted 12 hours ago I think we'll be putting out a new cloud update this week so it should be improved Keith 1
sw3ar Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I have PC set as console. In game it finds a match, starts loading, than backing to main menu. Can't connect with filtering ON. Also with SP I feel like dying behind corners more often.

Does it appear to only be blocking when it tries loading into a match then? Can you see an icon on the map before that happens? SP may not always be needed
Serenade Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago @Netduma Fraser The Ping Heatmap shows Dallas BF6 servers at 26 ping, but Geofiltering Dallas still connects me to Oklahoma City (which also says 25-32 steady ping) but my in game ping is always at 60+. What's the deal? This both with the device labeled as a PC and following your original instructions to make it a Playstation Device.

Please provide the ID of the server shown on the Geo-Filter when you connect to it. It could be mislocated and not able to ascertain the real ping, it's also possible the game may be including processing delay in their ping calculation

Sorry I'm kinda new to this. Is there a reason other players would have 12-30 ping (as denoted by the in game overlay) while mine is showing 60+? It definitely feels like my ping is higher than most players.

I couldn't say, I don't know under what circumstances you've got those servers there for, if they're all for the same reason you've mentioned then that's fine we'll take a look. There could be an infinite number of reasons, I really can't give you a specific answer on that one. Probably better to make a new topic and we can dive into things in a bit more detail.
