Hello Fraser, then I did not try firmware 4 on netduma r2, because I think I found the right balance between down and up in the qos with firmware 3.3. The only problem is that after a few days, as mentioned above, the router gets flooded and I have to reboot it, so to avoid having it flooded, I always reboot it before playing, although it's a nuisance, but in this way it's all very performant! Can you tell me why this happens?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 8 Administrators Posted June 8 It seems to be renewing the public IP a lot, what is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R2? E.g R2 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 8 Administrators Posted June 8 Would you be able to get the ISP to extend your public IP lease time? I'd say ask them for a static public IP but they'd very likely charge you for that

By asking for a static ip what are the pros and cons?
Krush Posted June 9 Posted June 9 A static IP allows you to host without having to continually change your settings. Dynamic IPs are generally shared...a port range divided among multiple users! CGNAT
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 9 Administrators Posted June 9 Pretty much as above! In this scenario as well, if the issue is due to your public IP constantly renewing then a static IP would prevent that renewal happening and hopefully then the issue. Also, another benefit, if you have anything at home that you'd like to access outside your home such as a home server (or other non 'smart' devices) for example then it would be easier to access it away from home as the IP would never change.
