The update before, I had to downgrade, but this update (4.0.540) has improved my ping and my speeds, on call of duty I've been averaging 60 to 100 kills on multiplayer, it's hitting the mark and this

Changelog:

  • Behavioural Identification is a new feature which identifies traffic based on the way it behaves. This allows us to categorise and prioritise traffic which hasn't yet been added to our DPI database, ensuring day one support for new games. It can also assume and categorise encrypted traffic based on the way that it behaves, which means that, for the first time ever, we can prioritise Gaming, Streaming and Video Calls even while you're using a VPN!
  • New Themes have been added to DumaOS, you can now pick from Traditional Red, Gamer Green, Baby Blue or Cherry Pink
  • WPS Support has been added. Press the WPS button on the back of your R3 to start pairing mode for 2 minutes.
  • Translations have been added to the UI, you can now set your DumaOS to Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish and German.
    • If there are any incorrect translations, you can report them in the change language page.
  • LAN Disconnections have been fixed, you shouldn’t be getting random drop-outs for wired devices anymore.
  • Ping Optimiser has been overhauled and should be quicker and more stable than before.
  • WiFi Auto Channel Selection has been improved, you'll get better speeds over WiFi.
  • PPPoE VLAN compatibility has been fixed, you can now use both PPPoE login and VLAN tags at the same time and everything will work.
  • Memory leaks have been fixed, your unit should no longer have to restart because of memory build up.
  • LAN IPs were sometimes not being assigned before, this is fixed now.
  • Many various frontend fixes.
  • Various Stability and Security Fixes

There are more new features coming this year that we've been working on as well. Keep your eyes peeled and we'll hopefully share them soon!

You can install the firmware via Settings > Troubleshooting > Upload Firmware, and upload the file below:

May I get early access to the new firmware of R3 too?

I already own an R3 and wanted to know when new firmware would be available.

It seems to me that the geo filter and ping optimizer are not working 100%. I am experiencing extreme hit registration errors in Warzone. 

So something is wrong with the router, recently, even though I haven't changed anything, loss during ball registration and input delay.

Added you to the R3 Early Access.

We're aware Ping Optimizer isn't 100% reliable and the moment and will be resolved in the next firmware. Why do you think the Geo-Filter isn't working?

It's unlikely that it's on your side, this happens every year, there is a slowdown after the first couple of months of the new year, into summer and then once a trailer for the new CoD happens people jump on again to get practice in. Lots of players around the beta time and more so between the beta and launch, aided by any new seasons of the previous CoD and Warzone like has just happened within the last week or so. Usually but not always there is a slowdown sometime between launch and Xmas, then when people get it for Xmas there is a big influx of players, new and those returning due to having time off for the holidays.
