Netduma R3 high latency compared to XR500 on Blops 6

Just got the R3 recently and have it updated to v4.0.290. I live in California and for some reason i cant get any lobbies that are under 60ms latency. On average I'm in 80ms games. When i use the Xr 500 i can set it to 30 ping strict mode on and get good games with 20 to 30ms latency. On the R3 i have steady ping disabled. have tried both geo-latency on and off. Even when i turn off everything i cant get a stable connection. Ping heat map for black ops 6 shows all yellow dots with 60ms or higher. On the Xr500 the ping heat map shows green with 30ms ping. I feel like i have tried everything, but idk. pls help.

I suspect it's a mislocated server, if you can provide the ID I can double check. In the meantime, deny the server and keep denying any that have a high ping and you should find lower ping servers again within your radius. Also resync the cloud just in case you're running an old cloud update.

Have you tried ping assist? Make your filter size as small as possible, turn off geo-latency, and adjust the ping slider to around 35ms so it should find the same server as your xr500. *It might take longer to find a game*

i did try this. The game gave me a txt box that said cant connect to any server.

Thanks for that, it is an LA server so you shouldn't be getting that high a ping. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Netgear nighthawk cm1200.

The modem is connected to the R3. And everything else pc, xbox and playstation are connected to the R3 with ethernet cables.

What do you mean bridge mode? That was an option on the XR500 that i had disabled. I dont see that option on the r3

yes i have xbox on dmz and a port open for 3074 udp and tcp for the xbox. Only other device in use would be the playstation since wife and i play COD at the same time. Smartboost is set to gaming priority. then video and streaming 2nd with nothing else. Congestion control i have as 50% download and 70% upload. because that gives me the highest grade on bufferbloat. I do not change the geo-filter mid game. I tend to not touch it much at all.

You need to add these to allow server list on Xbox. These give you open nat with Xbox Live (I live in North Carolina). When you turn on Xbox. Already have your GeoFilter open. You'll see those 2 servers pop up in Iowa (while sitting on Xbox dashboard. They pop up quick & then go away. So look for them the moment you turn on Xbox. So you can click and allow). I was having same issue earlier this year. Those 2 servers have something to do with open NAT on Xbox Live. This right here fixed it for me.

No dmz, i don't port forward nothing. I got the same modem you got.

Those servers did not show up for me. is there a way to add them manually. Some servers did show up and i added those. It seemed like it made nat open on the xbox itself. When inside COD though it still shows up as moderate. Does this make a difference?

Besides Nat issues. Nothing has changed with new update. Connection is still very consistently high.

Let me hop on my Xbox. I'll check. I'll need to download CODBO6 from gamepass. I'll do a video showing when I turn my Xbox on and when it shows up on GeoFilter map. I'll probably do as link to YouTube. Okay

Update.....

With my connection. It will take me 1 hr to download CODBO6. I'm getting campaign & multiplayer. When it's done. I'll have my tablet. Record from phone. I'll show Iowa showing up on console launch. Show my nat on dashboard. Then I'll go to COD & show my NAT there. Okay.

I appreciate you going out of your way for this info. I watched the video and I will try it after work tomorrow.

You should take the video down or delete that post though because it contains your personal ip in the COD network page. You dont want some wierdos out there to get that info.
