JoshTheLuz
I'm really frustrated with my Netduma R2 running firmware version 3.3.615. Every day, exactly 24 hours after the last restart or reset, my router automatically reboots. At first, I thought it was an issue with my main fiber router, but I’ve confirmed it’s definitely the Netduma causing the problem. This is especially annoying because the reboot usually happens around 1 AM, right when I’m in the middle of ranked Warzone matches. It’s been ruining my gaming sessions and honestly, it’s driving me nuts. I’ve tried factory resetting the router multiple times, but the problem keeps coming back. As a temporary fix, I started manually turning off the router every day at 3 PM, hoping to shift the reboot time to when I’m not gaming. This does make the router restart at 3 PM the day after instead of 1 AM, but each time it reboots, it adds about 3 minutes to the next shutdown time. So now it’s rebooting at 3:03 PM, then 3:06 PM, and keeps drifting later each day. After a few months, this workaround is completely useless. Has anyone else experienced this 24-hour auto-reboot issue with the Netduma R2? Are there any real fixes or workarounds that actually solve the problem? I love the features and performance of the R2 otherwise, but this issue is a major pain. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! DARKNESS
@JoshTheLuzI am pretty sure what you're having is the DHCP lease every 12-24 hours and it is expected for it to go down for about 2-3 minutes and come back up. So if you don't want that to happen often then change the DHCP lease time to more than 48 hours or so whatever you feel comfortable.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 24 Administrators Share Posted October 24 Exactly as above, I suspect that is what is happening, if it's actually rebooting then that would be something else entirely. I usually suggest 168 hours/10000 minutes so it makes it last a week instead. Also the DumaOS 4 beta is available in Early Access if you want to try that.
