D3mon1c Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Is the R3 bad at downloading in general? Because I was trying to download movies (horror movies) to watch at their best quality when I have free time & its just not really consistent about downloading entirely like it'll just get cut short for some reason or another but I don't have the same issues when I download off a different router entirely. Do I have to change some settings around on the R3 just to be able to download on a regular basis outside of my gaming console?
D3mon1c Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 O I forgot to mention I had my bandwidth set to 200 down/2 up when this was happening btw
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 6, 2024 Administrators Posted October 6, 2024 Please disable uTP on said program/service and then see if it is better

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 6, 2024 Administrators Posted October 6, 2024 As above, if I have misunderstood please let me know
D3mon1c Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Looked it up all I found was something about UTP ethernet cables.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 8, 2024 Administrators Posted October 8, 2024 Where are you downloading your content from?
D3mon1c Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Fmovies domain names but I BELIEVE the downloads are "ok" if I don't do so much but when I try to do multiple at a time & its like... I guess 1080p that im trying to download it'll go for a min then like shutdown entirely besides either 1 it'll continue going till its finished OR just cancel em all & say an error basically.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 8, 2024 Administrators Posted October 8, 2024 So in your download client, look for the uTP option in Settings or search for the manual of settings for the program you're using to find uTP
D3mon1c Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 So I have to do this in the browser im using?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 8, 2024 Administrators Posted October 8, 2024 So you're not using a torrent client you're doing it through the web browser? That might be why if so, in some cases not with this router specifically I have had big downloads over the web browser fail.
D3mon1c Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 O ok... So not much to do about it entirely then since its thru a browser?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 8, 2024 Administrators Posted October 8, 2024 Not necessarily but do you experience the issue in other web browsers?
