NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290

Recommended Posts

Just got this router in the black friday deal. I've updated to this firmware.  Unfortunately I am not able to connect to Internet. My Internet is sky gigafast and I'm connecting directly to my ont. Never had an issue doing this with asus router. Is this router not compatible with provider. Any help would be much appreciated.

You both have Early Access and can see the latest version there with the changes made: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/57223-new-firmware-r3-dumaos-40402-disconnections-fix/

You can only disable the top RGB. To disable the LEDs - we have looked into it - would require a separate firmware that disabled them e.g. .290 normal & .290 LEDs off and you'd then have to choose which you want to use. There is no real easy way to have a button on the UI for it.

We'd love to have separate firmware with all leds off, full dark mode.  Because White Leds disrupting night game sessions.

I'll let the team know this is something you'd be prepared to do!

When will you release a new firmware? It’s been months since the last time the R3 was stable… disconnects, wifi trouble etc. I have the latest beta, but it’s not much better than 290. Needing a daily restart is awful - especially if you need stable net for smart home devices

If you know the firmware version that was stable for you it may be best to go back to that one for the moment. We have updates on the way, we're just testing them to make sure they're working as expected.

Hi Everyone,

We've got a new firmware for you guys. This one is a relatively smaller changelog than the previous one as we're currently in the process of finalising a few new features that will be coming in the next firmware.

Changelog:

  • COUNTRY SELECTOR
    • You can now set your Geo-Filter radius using countries through the custom Geo-Filter radius.
  • Geo-Filter 2.0 improvements
    • Improved reliability of getting games inside your radius
  • Memory usage improvements
    • Improvements made to fix issues with the UI not loading
  • Bugfix for SmartBOOST causing loss of total bandwidth speed over time.

You can install the firmware via Settings > Troubleshooting > Upload Firmware, and upload the file.

DumaOS-R3-4.0.290.sig

EDIT: We will be pushing this via the One click update over the next week or so

Hello,

does this update fix the geo filter issue for Call of Duty via Gamepass PC? I have to select Xbox console before the geofilter will work.

Not specifically and that would be a cloud update that's required I believe, I don't recall many people mentioned it recently though so may have been fixed if you resync the cloud after upgrading.
