Albeno
Hey my netduma r3 router arrives today. I currently have the eero pro 6e mesh system with a 8 port Ethernet unmanaged switch. I would still like to use the eeros for WiFi coverage throughout my home. How would i configure the netduma with the eeros? My internet uses fiber ont. would I hook the netduma to my fiber ont , turn WiFi off on netduma, and then hook the eero up via Ethernet to the netduma and put eero in bridge mode? Fuzy
Yes, this is what will be best, because all of your devices will go through the R3 and you will have greater wifi coverage with the mesh

Albeno
Hey my eeros that will be connected to the r3 have Ethernet ports on the back. Can I plug my gaming pc directly into the eero Ethernet port or do I need to plug the pc directly to the netduma r3
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 22 Administrators Share Posted August 22 You can do but most likely the R3 won't see the PC specifically so if you want to use it with the Geo-Filter etc it would be best to connect it direct to the R3. Albeno
so far everything is running smooth. It was easy to setup. i got the eeros connected to netduma in bridge mode. is it normal to get this message when running ping optimizer
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23 Administrators Share Posted August 23 Great to hear! If it thinks the ping is optimal then yes. It can change depending on the time of day so try it again at another time and it may provide different results.
Albeno
is that normal tho?
Albeno
what ports should i open on pc for call of duty mw3?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23 Administrators Share Posted August 23 It's completely different for everyone but it's not abnormal if it can't be improved at that time.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23 Administrators Share Posted August 23 You don't need to open any ports specifically if you have an open NAT.
Albeno
it was moderate but i made my pc dmz and it turned open
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23 Administrators Share Posted August 23 Do not put your PC in the DMZ that is a major security risk, I'd highly suggest you remove it immediately. Look up the ports needed for the game and add them instead.
