I TESTED THIS METHOD WITH 20+ GAMES OUTSIDE MY LOCAL SERVERS AND THE STEADY PING FELT REALLY GOOD DURING MATCHES 50 DOWNLOAD-50 UPLOAD PING OPTIMIZER OFF SMART QOS OFF I HOPE THIS HELPS MY PS5 COMRADS! meck1 Posted July 28 Author Share Posted July 28 did you watch the videos? jaja i play call of duty heres a video of my what i mean Gaming Devices - Google Chrome 2024-07-28 15-52-38.mp4 to add on this the steady ping does work on PlayStation but does not feel natural and during gunfights when i lose i check the killcam and even though i shot first they in their screen it looks like my reaction is slow or my bullets didn't do damage(CALL OF DUTY PLAYERS KNOW WHAT I MEAN AND ITS ANNOYING) now when its set to computer and the filtering does work i find matches faster , steady ping activates and the gameplay feels really good even when my ping is in 30-60ping. the gameplay feels waaaay better and my shoots feel more connected, i don't feel overwhelmed as to pushing and feel more confident that its a fair fight. compare to when my ps5 is set to PlayStation setting i would have to always try to outmaneuver my enemy knowing if we get into a gunfight face to face i would most likely lose but that's only when I'm playing with friends in servers far from locally where i would get like 40ping and i know wont do much. now compared to this computer setting i play with friends and i actually give them host so they can have better connection because i know steady ping will stabilize my connecting and gameplay will feel smooth. meck1 Posted July 28 Author Share Posted July 28 one thing to add is the on computer setting when i finish a match it will ping the other servers on the map and when i play with friends thats really helpful because yesterday for example it put us in the texas server and we were able to get a win in warzone(ranked) but it finds a connection in between us BY THE WAY I TOLD HIM TO BUY THE NETDUMA R3 AND HE BOUGHT IT AND HE LIKES IT. and he also running the same settings as me on ps5 and loves it . The killcam isn't going to be a 100% accurate replay of what happened. If you're playing on further away servers then the ping will be higher and the experience will be worse generally. meck1 Posted July 28 Author Share Posted July 28 ok ok my bad i dint understand your question either i thought odvious my bad. but yeah this have been the settings I've been running its it seems to be working awesomely. like right now for example i just finished a game on warzone on 82 ping(stabilized connection with steady ping) and felt smooth from beginning to end. but when it was on pre lobby before the match started (not stabilized connection) the game felt weird. When I did that, Buffer went crazy. Otherwise, when it's on, I have A+. my speeds from ISP are 900down 400up. I manually set it to 70 - 70. The buffer swelling is only visible on very high speeds, by limiting the max speeds to 50Mbps upstream of the R3... still happy that you have a test like that! I was wondering how you got Congestion Control to work because when I disabled SmartBoost it said Congestion Control was turned off. Doing the above gives very good Bufferbloat when gaming. I have another fix. So, when I game before entering say COD what I do is turn off Filtering. So, enter COD & only when I'm at the lobby do I go and turn on filtering. After that I click on find game. I find it's the best way to find servers fast and close by as the entire server list is properly being loaded. Give it a try Also turn off Use Upstream DNS in the WAN section. Only use DNS Override. Upstream DNS uses your ISP DNS. I need to finetune my Congestion Control but yeah it works wonders for my Bufferbloat doing it your way My "Unloaded" usually is from 10 - 12 but a bit higher now.
