Best setting for speed test ??

Recommended Posts

I currently just got fiber little over a week ago suppose to get 1G down and up but anyways I’ve only gotten to about 700/200 with monkeying around and reading posts but is that typical or should I be seeing 1G /1G also when I test on my other internet which is phone line I get 5mbps and 1mbps up the test shows no jitter 20 ping to the server I am pinging  but when I use my fiber I’m getting like 2 jitter 14-16ping I’ve only tested 1 time without no jitter and I’ve done prob 100+ tests I believe it’s the router causing this since is still beta any help would be appreciated thanks

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Have you set your expected speeds? How do you have Congestion Control set in Ping Optimizer > Advanced? Is speed test bypass enabled?

You don't have to worry about that due to how you have it setup so that is fine. What was the router/modem you had before - did you get full speeds through that? Whatever it was get its MAC address and in Settings on the R3 make it use that make address, reboot from the interface and see if the speeds are any better please.

I never had a router modem before sadly I just got installed with the R3 at this house so anything any suggestions I’d like to get 0 jitter which happens sometimes but seems most of the time my download speed is all over the place where my upload seems accurate most of the time

Place your PS5 in the DMZ.

Reserve Your PS5 IP if it shows here. Then click SAVE.

You should now have your PS5 in DMZ. You should be able to have OPEN NAT.

Do you know how to open nat for PlayStation network test as well ? It opened for when I’m in game but when I do speed test on station it’s nat 2

TYPE 1 is only when you're connected DIRECTLY to the MODEM. PS5 to MODEM. You will have Type 1.

TYPE 2, is behind a router. You're Good with Type 2.

You'd have to test the speed with the PS out of the DMZ first.

What Tray means is that NAT Type 1 you can only achieve by connecting the PS directly to the modem, NAT Type 2 is for modem > router > PS but its still open

The previous router you used should have a maximum of two MAC addresses, they'd be printed on the label on the underside of it
