Andpodepah
Hey guys! in which specific situation can we activate the options: -Spanning Tree Protocol. -Port Scan. any positive impact in connection with this? wdz
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 12 Administrators Share Posted March 12 Port Scan you can enable, it's just a protection option. Spanning Tree you can leave disable unless you have a complex network such as with a lot of switches etc Andpodepah, Fairypusher and ChrisG82
ChrisG82
Port Scan Protection prevents anyone from the Internet from scanning the router for open ports to see if any services are vulnerable from outside. The Spanning Tree Protocol prevents parallel connections in networks with several switches and thus prevents the formation of loops Andpodepah, Netduma Fraser and Fairypusher

I was thinking here, could one of these protections save me from some connection problems that happen when there are ddos on the warzone servers? If the COD servers are being DDOSd, nothing on your router would resolve that for you unless you can find other COD servers in the Geo Filter that are more stable.
