Steady Ping

Recommended Posts

Hey, just wondering if it’s necessary to have steady ping enabled if my ping is already a stable 27-28 and doesn’t really move off that.

thanks for your help

@Fogzzy IFS  If your connection is that stable then I would not use it either.. Just as Fraser has mentioned.. But that also means no spiking as well..

Heres a screenshot bellow of me using it.. But tbh I have a stable connection and would not need to have it enabled..

Steady Ping is a good tool to have in your tool box so to speak in case one has a unstable connection to a server.. Its another cool feature to have just in case one needs it. ;)

Thanks!

Zippy.

Zippy.

Dude, I haven't been able to use steady ping since I installed the device. It doesn't even show the servers I'm connected to. I'm playing games on ps5, I installed the latest version. But it doesn't work.

That screenshot shows steady ping working. Open the Steady Ping Stats window you’ll see if it is indeed working or not, with info on servers  and added latency

Do what is mentioned above, click Steady Ping at the top of the map and then click stats bottom right and see if it is indeed stabilizing the ping even if the ping is not shown (it won't always be possible to show the ping)

Dude, I tried and succeeded, now I can see it in 2 out of 5 matches, but when I look at the ping map, it shows around 50 ms, which is correct. But when I check it in geo filter it goes between 150 and 200 ms. I have tried this in 5 matches. In all of them the connection is the same, what is the reason for this?

My problem is steady ping does not always stabilize my connection it. very odd so I checked maybe there is a firmware update that I need and not even that bc I reboot my router everytime it does that.

I don't know if it's just my isp.

It won't always stabilize that is normal, just the nature of the beast that it won't be able to do it 100% of the time
