Fogzzy IFS
Hey, just wondering if it’s necessary to have steady ping enabled if my ping is already a stable 27-28 and doesn’t really move off that. thanks for your help
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 2 Administrators Share Posted March 2 I wouldn't suggest enabling it in this case if your ping really is that stable as it'll just be increasing your ping unnecessarily. Fogzzy IFS and Zippy 1
Fogzzy IFS
Yeah that’s what I was thinking as well, thanks Fraser Zippy and Netduma Fraser
Zippy
@Fogzzy IFS If your connection is that stable then I would not use it either.. Just as Fraser has mentioned.. But that also means no spiking as well.. Heres a screenshot bellow of me using it.. But tbh I have a stable connection and would not need to have it enabled.. Steady Ping is a good tool to have in your tool box so to speak in case one has a unstable connection to a server.. Its another cool feature to have just in case one needs it. Thanks! Zippy. Zippy. Dude, I haven't been able to use steady ping since I installed the device. It doesn't even show the servers I'm connected to. I'm playing games on ps5, I installed the latest version. But it doesn't work.

Open the Steady Ping Stats window you’ll see if it is indeed working or not, with info on servers and added latency
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7 Administrators Share Posted March 7 Exactly as above, let us know if it is indeed showing that its working
Anonymous
I tried 6 matches and got the same screen in all of them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7 Administrators Share Posted March 7 Do what is mentioned above, click Steady Ping at the top of the map and then click stats bottom right and see if it is indeed stabilizing the ping even if the ping is not shown (it won't always be possible to show the ping)

But when I check it in geo filter it goes between 150 and 200 ms. I have tried this in 5 matches. In all of them the connection is the same, what is the reason for this? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 21 Administrators Share Posted March 21 Can you provide the ID for the server please and I can take a look. Does it play more like 50ms or 150ms?

ExcellentZERO
My problem is steady ping does not always stabilize my connection it. very odd so I checked maybe there is a firmware update that I need and not even that bc I reboot my router everytime it does that. I don't know if it's just my isp.
