artful40
hi there the problem with connection to internet on Xbox ViA r3 is still there, on boot up takes about 30 secs to connect
scaryp
I have this problem too. Having a static address on xbox or DHCP reservation for same IP doesn't resolve. I didn't have this with my R1000.
DanologyUK
I have Xbox Series X wired and I have set a static IP on the Xbox and I dont have this issue (not sure if this is because I have set it static on Xbox or not though).

Maybe try setting a static IP on the Xbox in Network Settings and see if this helps.

scaryp
Sorry guys, thats what I meant in my first post. I've tried with a statically assigned IP address and also with a DHCP reservation as well as regular DHCP assigned address. Same result with around 30 seconds before it gets connected. kryptik66
Yes I've already reported this problem, a reservation doesn't help, a static IP address in the device is the only thing that helps. The DHCP server in the router is taking too long to assign the IP address, it's a bug which needs to be fixed.. scaryp
kryptik66
This doesn't just happen with an Xbox it happens on my pc aswell if you don't have a static IP address set in your device you sometimes have to reboot the router just to get it to assign an IP. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26 Administrators Share Posted February 26 Try as above setting the static IP on the console itself. Outside of that we'll be getting the issue resolved. Zippy
Lord British
I've just recently changed from an R2 to an R3 and have also experienced this. it was only when I logged in and noticed the advert display "Connect to the Xbox network" and found that my friends list was unavailable. It does not last for long but just wanted to mention it as my R2 and standard Virgin Hub 4 log onto the network as soon as the machine boots up. We'll be looking into it but do try the above in the meantime Lord British
