Lincoln University
I have just visited the Netduma R3 website and found the product to be quite appealing. Before making a purchase, I would like to learn more about the basic setup with my Cisco router. Additionally, I am curious if it can be used as an extender in another room. DanologyUK
Wait 6 months before purchasing...This was released far too early. Have a scroll through the forum to see all the problems people who have already bought it is experiencing. mcallisterbr69 and Lincoln University 1

PharmDawgg
It can be used as an wifi extender/ap but the wifi has issues with coverage but Netduma is working to improve it. If you use the R3 as a wifi extender/ap, you will loose the ability to use the geo filter functionality when you disable the DHCP functionality. It has to be hardwired to the primary router. There is no mesh capability. Lincoln University
Psyco-Mengo
Do not buy it? Go back to the previous topics. I wish I had returned mine in time. There are too many issues with this router that I doubt they will be able to fix it.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26 Administrators Share Posted February 26 Setup is simple, you'd need to connect it via ethernet to your existing modem/router. It doesn't have a specific extender mode but you could use it in that way but it would be better to have it control the whole network to work effectively. It is a support forum so you will only see issues here, keep that in mind and if cost is a factor for you then it's probable that the longer you wait the more likely it is for the launch discount to have been removed by then.
