jmoorect1979 Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 I just wanted to verify I am on the right track and in the right place to change my DNS. I went to Settings>WAN>Advanced>DNS override and changed the DNS there. Is that correct? Is this the setting that affects my internet as a whole? I wanted to verify because I have a security service that requires me to use their DNS settings to apply the security options to my home, but it is not working. I can still access certain websites that are blocked through the service I use. Thanks in advance for any help.
jmoorect1979 Posted January 14, 2024 Author Posted January 14, 2024 Oh, and the service I use is showing I am using Google DNS as a DNS resolver, which I am not, which is why I am asking here.
PharmDawgg Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Not sure if this will help but make sure you have Use Upstream DNS unselected as well like this. @Netduma Fraser will be along tomorrow to provide further assistance.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 15, 2024 Administrators Posted January 15, 2024 Yes that is correct. You may need to check the upstream modem/router is set to use the same DNS
