COD Servers GEO Filter

Recommended Posts

Hi

Im in the UK but i want to play in the USA certain times of day.

I set my home location on the GEO filter map to the area of the usa i want to play, ping assist 0 and strick search on and then launch the game.

This worked once only. I watch the map as it tries ot connect to EU servers and they get blocked which is what i want but never ever connects to USA servers. The game refuses to look for pings above 35ms and just loops.

Am i doing something wrong?

@[email protected]You can't necessarily change your region to another with geofilter and expect it to work the same way this is why you use HVPN so that you can play in other regions...it is possible to join another region without it though the queue times will be ridiculously long.

Hi!

I assure you, no need for a VPN, it is sometimes necessary to remove the device from the geo-filter, restart everything and put it back in the geo-filter so that the settings are taken into account! 😉

In the same way as a browser, on console or PC, the connection information is stored in the cache, hot modifications to the geo-filter are simply not taken into account!

It used to work all the time for me, I could always play NA East, but now, with the same settings it doesn't work at all.

Try this:

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC)
  4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
  6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  7. Wait 2 minutes
  8. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works.
