carmine19
Hi, can anyone get diablo 4 to work with the geofilter? tried both on PC and Xbox and it is not seen either in the geofilter or as gaming priority in smartqos, on PC tested both in console and PC mode combining it with Diablo4. DARKNESS
@carmine19It not on the list so it not going to be detected under Smart Boost if your on PC do the capture with wireshark and add it to the following forum for it to get priority whenever they update the DPI... carmine19
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7 Administrators Share Posted January 7 Add it to the Geo-Filter then reboot your device and then launch the game, can you see icons on the map after that?

Finding myself in the Geofilter as a setting I thought it had already been mapped, I made the capture and put everything in the appropriate post.👍

Hi Fraser, I reset the router and tried again to put Diablo 4, as a PC it now sees it and connects to a server in Switzerland as a PC console mode on PC it is not detected by the geofilter, now it also sees Overwartch 2 in PC mode before it you could only see it in console mode but the problem remains that you only connect to a server in Oklahoma from Europe, by deactivating geolatency you won't find any matches. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 8 Administrators Share Posted January 8 I know for Overwatch 2 at least it's one of the games that can't be filtered normally which is why it works with Geo-Latency, we'll have to test Diablo 4 DOGGAVELI

However, it would be useful if Steady Ping could be activated on a per-device basis and not have it active globally so that games that need it use it and others don't. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 8 Administrators Share Posted January 8 I'll get the team to try testing those games. That's a good idea, I'll add that to the list! DOGGAVELI and carmine19 1
carmine19
Hi @Netduma Fraser, since improvements to the geo filter were mentioned with the .041 firmware, I wanted to let you know that Diablo 4 on Xbox and PC in console mode is not seen but is only seen if it is placed on the PC in PC mode by selecting the game. (like the previous firmware) Overwatch, on the other hand, is always seen as the same, it always connects only to one server, the Oklahoma one, I believe it is an authentication server as the ping in the game is low. Test setup: -firmware 0.41 -ppoe -reset after installation -devices deleted, resync'd and reinserted The problem with Diablo is that on PC I play many other games which are filtered in console mode (e.g. Street Fighter, Tekken) and which are not present on PC in single game mode as well as having a maximum of 4 devices that can be put in the geofilter and therefore also I couldn't really include them if I wanted to. I also wanted to tell you something, I play some little-known games, such as natural selection, and the geofilter (pc console mode) works with it, a question arises: the geofilter works with most games that have peer servers with console mode ? If you need any tests just ask me and I'll do it. DOGGAVELI

Yes in theory any game that works via P2P can be filtered. carmine19
