Have you entered the R3 in the DMZ on the Smart Hub? Are ALL devices connected to the R3?

What does the speed reduce to, is this over WiFi, ethernet or both?

Maybe try it with out step 2 and then restart it

?? whats the out come then

Step 2 Disable Firewall

  1. While connect to the BT Smart Hub visit this address in your browser of choice: 192.168.2.1
  2. Go to Advanced settings.
  3. Go to Firewall.
  4. Go to the Configuration tab.
  5. Change firewall to Disabled.
  6. Click save.
  7. There is no need to restart.

In addition to the above did you set the DMZ and are ALL devices connected to the R3?

yes sh2 is in dmz and only one ethernet cable going to the r3

Does that mean you only have one device connected to the R3 with everything else using the SH2?

no everything  connected to r3 and one from sh2 to the Internet port on r3

I have a SH2 and just got the R3 the other day and I am not seeing speed drops my set up.
Ethernet out of the SH2 > Into the blue WAN port of the R3
Duma in the SH2 DMZ
R3 DHCP on
Using the 192.168.77.* range in LAN
I then get a Duma WAN IP sent from the SH2 : 192.168.1*
Told the SH2 to set the Duma IP as a static.

I did try to set another way that I thought would be better but the above works out the best.
Been getting 1gb download speeds wired.
Giving the WiFi 5Ghz an 80Mhz band to get the full WiFi speeds.

any chance  you can send me pic of your setting and blank out your ip address

There is no IP address of any consequence here, so no need to blank all local.

Just curious , was there an issue with using 160Mhz for the 5GHz WiFi?

No need to have it that wide as 80Mhz gives 1.2GB as is.

the static ip is that the ip of the sh2 or r3

The SH2 handed that IP so I set it to static on the R3 and then the SH2 sees it as static
