Issues bringing up QOS and Geo-Filter

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I literally just unboxed my XR1000. Set it up correctly, but my QOS doesn’t show up at all nor does my Geo-Filter accept my location.

The 1st pic is the message I keep getting when I click on the QOS tab.

The 2nd pic is what I see when I try to set my geo-filter.

I’ve had Netgear routers for years so I know this is typically a smooth process. Just recently switched back to Netgear from ASUS. As soon as I plugged it, these are the messages that I’m seeing. Any solution?

Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, close the tab, then wait 4 minutes before accessing and see if the page loads.

Don't use Armor, make sure you're accessing the interface using HTTP not HTTPS and if you have a browser based Adblocker disable it and see if the Geo works please.

Thank you! That appeared to work; however, I'm unsure if the geo filter is working. I know with my previous Netduma routers, once you enabled the filter, to play with players outside of your radius, you had to select them/grant permissions manually. Now, it appears I can party up with anyone no matter where they are without granting permission. I'm not mad about that in any way shape or form since it takes away added work, but I just wanted to know if that's normal and if the filter is still working?

Doesn't sound like it's working properly, could you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page please?

If you get that disconnect issue try accessing using 192.168.1.1 instead.

From the Geo-Filter screenshot it appears to be working as expected, authentication server in Ireland is allowed which is normal/needed and anything within the radius is allowed. Nothing else is outside the radius so all good!
