Alix Posted November 20, 2023 Share Posted November 20, 2023 Hi guys just wanted some friendly advice please got my new ISP installed and I am getting between 1% packet and 2% packet loss is this acceptable in playing fps shooting games. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 20, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 20, 2023 Depending on who you ask you may get a different answer but 1% I would consider acceptable, 2% it's getting to a point where it would probably affect your gaming. As you've got a new ISP though they usually tell you that it'll take a few weeks to 'settle' and during that time you could see some instability and speed loss so I'd suggest keeping an eye on it for a few weeks to make sure it doesn't get any worse and if after that time it hasn't resolved itself I would recommend contacting the ISP to take a look.
