madZEED
Hello, I keep in cart Netduma R2 and want to order it for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I play on PS5, mostly FIFA, BF ... Need advice. I have Asus AX82U and it works perfectly. Now I want to use Netduma R2 connected on my ISP modem (bridge mode), connect only wired PS5 on it, and then connect AX82U on Netduma R2 so everything on my network stay same except PS5 connected directly to Netduma. I will assign bandwith between PS5 and AX82U (500/30 mbps). Is this OK and good plan?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 29, 2023 Administrators Share Posted August 29, 2023 Hello, welcome to the forum! If you're not concerned with using QoS on the R2/having individual control of your other devices then yes you could do this and it would work but our recommended setup would always be to have every device connected to the R2. madZEED
madZEED
Thank you. I would like to use Asus for wifi and ofher devices, Netduma only for PS5. So my plan is to separate bandwith (200/20 for PS5 and 300/10 for Asus) on Netduma.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 29, 2023 Administrators Share Posted August 29, 2023 You can do that, although you don't need to give that much bandwidth to the console, gaming uses very little, 5/5 would be more than enough. madZEED

Fuzy
Hi, By the way, you can always disable QoS to download your games faster on the PS5 by using all the bandwidth this way!
DARKNESS
@madZEEDIn short just put your asus in AP Mode and it runs as the wifi and then disable the wifi on the R2 so they don't interfere with one another
Fuzy
But no... because the AP will act as a bridge! Much less easy to configure in terms of QoS and bandwidth restriction! This is the principle of a subnet...
madZEED
R2 should only prioritise PS5 and forward bandwith to Asus. Asus will do hard work. Wifi will be disabled on R2.
Fuzy
Yes, you will simply have to prioritize the PS5 and keep bandwidth sharing! madZEED

madZEED
My Netduma arrived for less than 24 hours to Bosnia, amazing. Now, let's go. 🙂 Fuzy

First time played FIFA at peak time without problems. Ping reduced from 45 to 33 and didnt get 1 ingame notification about connection problems. Thank you for this amazing device.
