Advice for Netduma

Hello,

I keep in cart Netduma R2 and want to order it for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I play on PS5, mostly FIFA, BF ...

Need advice. I have Asus AX82U and it works perfectly. Now I want to use Netduma R2 connected on my ISP modem (bridge mode), connect only wired PS5 on it, and then connect AX82U on Netduma R2 so everything on my network stay same except PS5 connected directly to Netduma. I will assign bandwith between PS5 and AX82U (500/30 mbps).

Is this OK and good plan?

Hello, welcome to the forum!

If you're not concerned with using QoS on the R2/having individual control of your other devices then yes you could do this and it would work but our recommended setup would always be to have every device connected to the R2.

You can do that, although you don't need to give that much bandwidth to the console, gaming uses very little, 5/5 would be more than enough.

Thank you, I think this would work OK. Netduma for my gaming pleasure, Asus for others. :)

But no... because the AP will act as a bridge! Much less easy to configure in terms of QoS and bandwidth restriction!

This is the principle of a subnet...

Great to hear that, enjoy!

Thank you.

First impression: I can't believe.

First time played FIFA at peak time without problems.

Ping reduced from 45 to 33 and didnt get 1 ingame notification about connection problems.

Thank you for this amazing device.
