I believe it because you have the interval set to 1 second your not going to get accurate data like that I forget the reason why that is though it might just be router hardware etc so just set it 2.5 and you should be able to see more accurately what happening

Also that just the gateway your not going to get much from that if your testing qos settings

It's worse on the last photos as the interval has been set to 1 as above. Other than that can you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?

that good? and regardless of 1 second intervals it will still behave the same at 2.5

You're not using QoS, it's set to Never, that's why you're getting those spikes when watching videos etc. You'll want to set it to Always and perhaps raise the download percentage as well.

oh i took a photo just for the sake of it lmfao and yeah i am aware i always have qos on always it still does though like put it to this way even when capped at 50mbps still spikes even for demonware.net (cod server)

Are you referring to pinging CoD servers? It's not an ISP issue, they just don't respond to traditional pings.

No I was referring to the gateway since depending on the circumstances packet loss can also show up in hop 1 if that was the case through the router gateway....I know this since I in the past had to deal with them and it was painful to be honest not something I like to do when half of them don't even know any networking and might have to escalate the situation to the fcc if it goes that far...

this is true indeed hop 1 has shown packet loss for me and still does but whats very odd is as soon as i individually ping the targrt (hop 1) the packet loss is nonexistent so (maybe a bug on ping plotter?)

Can you provide a screenshot of a completed Connection Benchmark test please?

You can't traditionally ping the CoD servers, it will end in packet loss.

1st test no qos 2nd test qos on whats so weird is connection benchmark is behaving weirdly? i mean on wave form its not even like this

Ping google and see what going on from there you should be able to see your modem gateway and if packet loss is coming from that area it most likely ISP issue that your going to have to tackle....I would preferably connect straight to modem with a laptop and do it like that since ISP will ask for proof I am also primarily referring to visits not useless customer service people that get you nowhere rebooting your modem like if that fixing a thing 😂

@BaturiI wouldn't count too much upon the connection benchmark they're not always accurate

well yeah i never do i rely on waveform or watching 8k videos with qos to determine ping spikes etc or even downloading a game

@BaturiI would suggest lowering the Upload to 50% since that really what affects gaming and you seem to have plenty so it shouldn't be much of an issue 20 up is more than enough for most users unless you have a big household etc

Also test it yourself and manually set it up as ping optimizer isn't accurate as well which I see too many user rely upon

Your on PC I would guess then yeah that works fine for the most part I ain't tested PC myself since I am console exclusive currently but from what Ive seen it better for PC users to add they're own rules though not necessary especially with the new smart qos feature coming though it available on beta if you want to test it though it not perfect it still being worked upon

Ping Under Load at that rating would indicate that QoS needs to be fine tuned some more. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.
