As the title states, since I started using the R2 router i cannot connect to ea servers.

attached is a log.

This occurs on ps5 and xbox series x

both have open nats and UPNP is enabled.

Also should note, this is on the latest firmware and have also tried but same issue occurs on early access.

Here is what shows in UPNP:

Teredo 192.168.77.102           Xbox Series X 192.168.77.102     3074   3074       UDP

192.168.77.101    PlayStation 5      192.168.77.101      9308         9308       UDP

EA Tunnel        PlayStation 5             192.168.77.101           3659           3659        UDP

have been able to fix if I unhook the R2 and use just my old ASUS router.

I could be wrong. But, EA servers have been experiencing quite a few outages today. I know for a fact, Apex Legends, I haven't been able to connect to their servers. Many are also reporting login issues in other EA titles.

This is one of those issues where some users can log in and few cannot. But, I'm not a developer, just giving a guess. Since you stated, it also happens on both public/early access firmware.

Are you seeing the issue with the Geo-Filter disabled? What game are you playing specifically?

What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to and how is that setup?

Geo filter is disabled. I am connected to a Arris S33 modem. The game is Madden 23.

It may be the Adblocker, if you disable that does it then load correctly?

i turned off ad blocker and neither the ps5 or xbox series x would connect to ea servers when playing madden 23

That's very strange, are you seeing anything on the log file when it doesn't allow you to connect?

im not sure how to read these logs, i have attached a log from just when i tried connecting to Madden 23 via PS5 first which did not connect and then tried the xbox series x and it did not work either.

Thank you for that, could you disable IPv6 in WAN & LAN Settings and also give the PS5 a reserved IP in LAN Settings > DHCP, reboot the router from the interface and then try again please?

have tried all that still no luck.

Could you provide another log please then when it happens as they were the main entries I could see in the previous log.

Attached is a log....im not seeing anything different....idk what the issues is. I have been able to connect to madden 21 and madden 22. Madden 23 is only issues, but if i swap to a different router it works fine.

Thank you for that, it could be UPnP, as a test, if you put your device in the DMZ on the R2 does it allow you to connect then? If it does take it out of the DMZ then port forward the ports required for the game and it should continue to work.

This really doesn't make much sense. If you disable QoS completely from the Congestion Control menu :menu icon does it work then?

I disabled smart QOS and the xbox series x connected no issues...still ps5 issues.

If you're on an Early Access firmware post in the Early Access section if you have an issue, it makes more sense why it may not be working compared to the public version. I can't see how one device would start working and the other wouldn't when there is no specific settings towards them, I'm not sure it's entirely the router issue. How did you have SmartQoS set exactly?

It's a really weird issue, I can't find any reason for it, a test actually, if you change the R2 MAC address to be the same as your PC for example, does it work then?
