Playing with friends outside of my radius

I know this question has been addressed in the past, the advice was to invite a the friend into a party and add them to allowed list (https://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000089132-how-to-use-allow-and-deny-on-dumaos). Which works fine but here is the problem, I'm in the UK and and most of my friends are in the US.

I join him to play warzone, his the host/party leader. When he searches he it takes forever and eventually doesn't find a game, looking at the geofilter it blocks servers from him connecting to it. I'm guessing its because of my geofilter settings. I mostly have it on Filter Mode on - Strick distance 2000km and ping set to 0

This has always been an issue for me, to get around this which I shouldn't be doing is to turn -off geo-filter for him to find a game. We don't find a game unless I do this. Anytime I join any friend outside of my radius we don't find a game even if I have added them to allow list, servers pop up on geofilter but its filtered to be blocked.

So my question is, how can I have my geo-filter on while playing with friends outside of my radius settings?

If you want the party to reach the servers in your comfort zone, you have to be the party leader using the geofilter! (Unless they also use geofilter) Have you tried setting the ping to 90ms? at worst you will play on the US East servers

The host of the game should have the Geo-Filter enabled, if you're not the host then you shouldn't have it enabled as the host will be searching according to different parameters to you so it will either continue searching until it finds a middle ground for you both or in some cases they could be allowed in and you would be booted.

So either disable it or you be the host then you can use the Geo-Filter.

So I have no choice then, alright it was worth the try.

Unfortunately not, best bet would be you be the host and force the East Coast so it's as close to you as possible and depending your ping should be around 80

@Netduma Fraser I have done as you advised but my next question is, I'm I connected to to east coast or I'm connected to peer/server in the UK. Cause I can see little circles pop up in the UK so what is it?

That doesn't work in all circumstance that why you use a vpn and use geofilter in top of it but the vpn needs to be connected somewhere around the region you want to be on of course that means higher latency which might not really impact much since your already playing at higher ping servers as a sacrifice
