Hello @Netduma Fraser I am installing netduma but I have problems: how do I connect the netduma to this box (photo). On the netgear the VLAN ID function was present, on the netduma I don't see it anywhere. Thank you

and yet the default password written underneath the R2 is different (the last digit changes), strange isn't it?

I don't know what that is or the ports it has but you need to connect one of the LAN ports on that box to the R2, then you can access the router and change the WiFi password - VLAN ID is in Settings on the router

yes i had to update the firmware to have the VLAN option as well, so can you now tell me how come i got the router box open since i updated the firmware? and maybe if you have an explanation for those spots on the router?

I'll keep you posted when I finish the configuration and test it in game online...

Thanks for your support

The Vlan ID is only available after configuration of the R2 (Work in progress 🤙

Unfortunately the initialization configuration doesn't support it yet.

But you can find it on the administration page.

guys if i want to change the dns i have to put them here and deactivate use upstream DNS? (photo)

do you think i have to deactivate the ipv6 entries to play online? (photo)

last night after setting it up it was fine, this afternoon very bad...

do you advise me to open the game ports manually?

Yes that's right.

You don't need to disable IPv6 to play.

What is the issue you're having exactly?

Thanks @Netduma Fraser, I only play efootball, the only problem I encounter is the heaviness and woodiness of the players

yesterday as soon as i finished the setup it was fine, so i didn't touch anything but this afternoon, i switch on and it was practically unplayable and then in friend rooms the geofilter blocks the connections and the game doesn't start

I have a terrible doubt:
was the router sent back to you because it was possibly faulty?

when I received the router in the system info it gave me no firmware version as if no firmware was installed, then the password wifi was different from the one under the router (only the last digit changed). These strange clues make me think of a possible defect, also because one day it goes well and another day it goes wrong like the netgear xr500.

what do you think?

We wouldn't have sent you out a faulty unit so that won't be it. Disable Adblocker and IPv6 in LAN/WAN as well as the protection options in WAN and see if it improves at all.

Small update: adblocker never enabled, I have now disabled IPv6 in LAN/WAN, but left the protections in place. I changed the QoS from 70% to 90% in both down and up and got some benefits, better online fluidity. Tonight I will see if this fluidity is maintained

hi guys, can you help me set up my netduma? Attached I am sending you photos of the geo and qos that I have configured. Another photo is the speed test done by ps5 where inexplicably I am given with 2mbps upload, why so low? My line is 500down and 250up. Do I have any blockages on the ps5? What do you suggest I change in configuration, as my online experience is not the best? Thanks

Not specifically to the PS5, you'd have to do a test on the console web browser.

Good advice above, also reset Bandwidth Allocation, you won't need to set that. Are ALL devices connected to the router?

I did the test from the console's web browser but when uploading, it crashes

I will try resetting bandwidth allocation... yes all devices are connected to the router, although not all at the same time, but they are all home devices

would you recommend always or auto eneable?

Can you start by performing a speed test on a PC in RJ45 via the R2.

Console test servers are generally not optimized!

I know, but I would like to understand the quality of the connection coming to the console

Yeah the browser isn't great, if it's all good from a PC then it will be the same for the console.

It's up to you, use Always if you want it to always apply or Auto-Enable when you're just gaming.

Hello my friend, after your tips (give the same bandwidth to all the devices in the cake) it seems that my online fluidity is more stable, I've had a very good experience in game for three days now. I would like to know though to understand how dumaos works, why if I give too much bandwidth to the ps5 (moving it for example from 8% to 40%) I no longer have the same fluidity? Thank you so much

Glad to hear that. There is no specific reason why that would happen but gaming doesn't require much bandwidth so it's possible giving it too much for some reason makes the game play worse
