Sent a new router due to bad hardware...now I got new issues! Smh

So everything connects but my speeds wired and wireless are absolute garbage. I am on my 3rd router in less than 4 years so I know everything is hooked up right and the settings are the exact same as they were with my old router, yet I am getting next to no download and upload speeds. I am really getting sick of the constant issues, my only question is why can't this company make decent hardware. There is no reason why my speeds should be so bad right now. So sick of dealing with the horrible build quality of these pieces of junk.

What are your expected speeds and what are the speeds you're actually getting? Where are you testing the speeds? Are ALL devices connected to the R2? Is the R2 in the DMZ on the modem?

I think I fixed it..for the moment anyway. Anytime I have issues going back and repeating steps for whatever reason will fix it. I will keep testing to see if the fix is permanent

Does setting static or automatic IP's make any difference at all with devices?

Connection quality or just less room or errors.

Connection quality no, if you experience any disconnects or issues with having set specific settings for devices and then the IP changes causing those settings not to work anymore then yes it would be a good idea to set them, if not you can leave it on automatic.
