abc123 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 ...can someone explain how to go about doing this as i'm curious as to what mine is. can you describe "leaving time" do you mean "Lease Time"?
fuzzy clam Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 Iain talked about someones leaving time,in the "horrible night on advanced warfare" thread.Talking about how one person had say 4 ms time and one person had 40 ms time,so said person with 40 ms time couldn't be any lower than that
fuzzy clam Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 @ abc it on the above mentioned post on page 6, 3 or 4 page down where Iain talks about it
Elikenui Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I think Lain was talking about a traceroute.
Buds Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Iain was talking about a trace route and the first hops off the ISP network I believe. I.E if you are 20ms on first hop and up to 40ms before you leave your ISP network then that would be your base ping before it goes anywhere else. No doubt Iain will be along shortly to correct me
abc123 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 thanks for clarifying I was literally thinking Iain was making up networking terms
fuzzy clam Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 You guys know my terminology is not the best.So most of the things i'm trying to say or questions i'm trying to ask probably sound pretty funny to you guys.Again please excuse my lack of knowledge and Iain sorry now i got people thinking your making up your own networking dictionary And how would one go about checking my trace route and first hops ?
Zennon Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 For windows machines.....start / run / type cmd / in the pop out box type in tracert 8.8.8.8
