using URL prompts for R1 web control.

Hi all, I how a bit about coding and development and I was doing a web controlled arduino project last week and noticed rather than using what I assume is some sort of javascript or php control, the desired action (eg: led to turn on) is handled by changing the url from say:

netduma.local/

to:

netduma.local/?led1=true

 

Now I was wondering if this was something that was avoided as it was a waste of time or was not needed but I thought this would be really cool with R1 as you could create rainmeter (http://rainmeter.net/) plugins, custom interfaces, and IoT integration with things like Ifttt. 

Would something like this be possible in future updates?

Not sure if its possible, Iain will have to answer that one, I've sent the thread to him so hopefully he'll chip in on this when he has time, would be awesome is possible!

i think the best would be to get a rest API of some sort.
