Od1n
hey guys as the title says my R1 stops working the moment i plug a second ethernet LAN cable into the R1 (doesnt matter which port) the R1 works again as soon as i unplug that cable with not working i mean that no device can get a connection to the internet or get contact to the R1 interface (but the Wifi still works, just no device can connect to it despite the correct password) is there something i oversaw in the options that i need to tick? additional infos: - ethernet LAN 2 = Xbox One (LAN 1 is the modem ofc) - potential ethernet LAN 3 = PS4 - Wifi for any other network devices - r1 firmware 1.03.4 = latest - i use the following powerline plug that both PS4 and Xbox One are connected to: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Devolo-dLAN-550-duo-wall-pluggable/dp/B00KIHXS7W
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 28, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 28, 2015 If I read that right, port 1 (PoE) of the duma needs to be plugged into your ISP hub and then the other ports should work just fine, so port 2 xbox instead, port 3 ps4 instead. Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 28, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 28, 2015 If you've done what Fraser said and plugged into port 1 then ignore this. Otherwise, I had exactly the same problem as you Every time I plugged in my PC via ethernet all other devices would lose connection. Simple fix was to use a different ethernet cable - I looked into it afterwards and I think it was something to do with crossover cables, and auto crossovers in ethernet ports and stuff like that. But changing ethernet fixed it for me
