XR1000+Orbi

Can I mix and match Netgear XR1000 and Netgear Orbi and make them work together somehow? Goal is to have the gaming options on the XR1000 and stability of the Orbi working together in tandem?

In theory you should be able to, modem > XR > Orbi, I'd suggest having the Orbi in AP mode if possible so the XR1000 can still control all devices

Great. Thank you. I’m on fiber so no modem but it’s the same concept, correct? Also any other setting on the Orbi  I should be changing?

Yes exactly, AP mode is all that would need to be changed on the Orbi, it will likely take away lots of settings that are no longer applicable

Thanks. Would the Orbi satellites continue working as a mesh system?

You would have to consult the Orbi manual regarding that but I don't see why they wouldn't work

Update: Set it all up yesterday and everything seems to be working as intended so far so life is good🙂
