Fromlexy Posted September 26, 2022 Share Posted September 26, 2022 Hello, i have factory reset my XR 1000 several times. Nothing seems to be working anymore. My Dumaos panel doesn't work, nothing loads. My geo filter does not even load anymore which was the main reason for the purchase of this router. My internet speed has went to shit for the last few days everything I try to do now lags, buffers or doesn't load at all. I have the 1 GB internet plan and when I use the speed test I was getting 600-700 MBS per second on the speed test now I average 100-200 and this is LAN to my desktop computer. I am willing to do a remote desktop help as this is getting really frustrating as I work from home and content creation is my main source of income. Did you hold the reset pin on the back for at least thirty seconds, or did you do it from the Settings in the interface? What firmware version are you currently running on the XR? How are you testing your speeds exactly? Are you using the in-built Connection Benchmark or are you using a third-party speedtest such as speedtest.net for example? Fromlexy Posted September 26, 2022 Author Share Posted September 26, 2022 Reset pin on the back... i am on the 1.0.49 update file i am testing the speed test on the interface and sped test .com and why is nothing on the dumoas working anymore. i mainly got the router to use the geoo filter and that doesn't work anymore as you guys are seeing on the forum there is something wrong with he dumas a lot of complains are on the forum lately Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2022 That must be an old beta version, you're quite behind on firmware, I'd highly recommend you upgrade to the latest: https://kb.netgear.com/000064837/XR1000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-64 once complete ~5 minutes after uploading, factory reset, wait 2 minutes then access and it should be working fine. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 27, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 27, 2022 You said you’re on .49 but the latest is .64, can you access the interface look at the top right and confirm which version you’re on? Can you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please? On the System Information page go to the Rapp panel, click the icon and change retries to 5. Traffic prioritization is automatically set up to gaming. Geo stop working after upgrade to firmware. Idk if it's the upgrade.
