Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 6, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 6, 2022 Is Congestion Control set to Always? Are ALL devices connected to the R2 or are some connected to the modem? 70% is the recommended starting point but you may need to deviate from that on your connection to find the best value to eliminate lag. gearsniper550
Its set to auto enable and there connected to the r2
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 7, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 7, 2022 What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to? Are you using Traffic Prioritization? Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?

Also, make sure you set your Congestion Control sliders to ~70% each. It should all perform much better after that.
gearsniper550
even when im not playing a game if i start downloading something everything else slows down and i had it at 70 before and it was still slowing everything down
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 9, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 9, 2022 Could you clarify what you mean by slowing things down? Using Congestion Control will reduce speeds to ensure no device/application/service can saturate bandwidth and cause you to lag
gearsniper550
like lets say your watching a twitch stream and then need to download an update the stream would stop and pause until the update is done.

What device are you downloading an update from? How is that device connected to the R2? You'll notice this affect all traffic that's not prioritised in Traffic Prioritisation, so if it's affecting you watching Twitch, re-enable that rule in Traffic Prio. Just bear in mind that if you're gaming and watching a stream at the same time, the two will both be prioritised and may affect one another.
