XxWICKEDNINJAxX
Hello, I have a r1 router and it randomly stopped working. It is stuck in some resetting loop I can’t get it to stop even after trying the factory reset button.
Netduma Liam
Welcome to the forum! Could you please disconnect the R1 from power for at least 10 minutes, then reconnect it and see if the R1 boots properly. Are you able to access the DumaOS interface by going to 192.168.88.1 in your web browser?
XxWICKEDNINJAxX
I had it unplugged all night for atleast 10 hours and still doing the loop. I have no access to the browser interface
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted July 21, 2022 Hey, welcome to the forum! Do you mean it keeps factory resetting or keeps rebooting? Is it connected to a power extender or direct to a wall outlet? Once powered on how long does it take before it resets/reboots?
XxWICKEDNINJAxX
I have it directly plugged into the wall and it seems like it is just rebooting every 40-43 seconds.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted July 21, 2022 Set a static IP on the PC with the following details IP address: 192.168.77.100 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.77.1 If you're not sure how to do this, you can check this guide: https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-do-I-set-a-static-IP-address-in-Windows then try accessing 192.168.77.1 and see if you can really quickly get through to the interface to initiate a factory reset instead of using the hardware button. Also how were you doing the reset via the button exactly?
