Netduma R2 mobile devices problem

Hello,

I'm facing a problem with my netduma r2, the mobile devices such tablet and phones can't access internet. 

Device R2 V. 3.0.205i  ( i dont want to update because for me its a problem every time i need to factory reset)

Router is Connected with a Vodafone Station Revolution (Provider's Name: Vodafone).

Its strange because the wifi on laptops  actually work. But when i go to the dumaos/ from laptop it opens and after a while chrome say me: DNS_probe_Finished_nxdomain

Do i need to setup something in dns settings on every device?

Already rebooted after 10 minutes both router and modem.

Are you able to get to the DumaOS interface from a device that is connected to the R2 via ethernet?

What make are the mobile devices, are they Apple devices? If so, could you quickly test if going to the Wi-Fi settings on the mobile devices and disabling Private addresses for the Netduma Wi-Fi network helps?

1) Yes I'm Able to connect via r2 via ethernet, but it say me rapps not loaded yet today
Yesterday i wasn't facing rapp problem. It only show sometimes, when i tried enter dashboard, DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.

2) I have only an Apple device ipadPro, the rest of mobile devices are xiaomi devices and one samung tab + all tv's.
Actually i have disabled on ipad private address and now seems to work. Could this be the problem that cause this proble to all devices?

3) At this moment also other devices are working. but yesterday it was a pain.

Another question is:
My parents need to have a stable connection for smart working, can i connect them to modem instead of the router without problems? Can i face some issues doing this?( Like bad connection  while gaming) cause Every Time i'm facing this issue i need to connect back them all to modem instead of router and as i said it's a pain.

1. OK, the issue of Rapps not loading and potentially the issue of entering the Dashboard is resolved in the latest firmware so I would still definitely suggest upgrading to that when possible. If you reboot the R2, does that temporarily solve the problem?
2. Many modern mobile devices are using MAC randomisation (Apple call it Private Addresses). This prevents DumaOS from seeing some information on the mobile device, albeit I don't think it'd stop the device from having internet access all together. Check on your other devices if they have an option for MAC randomisation and disable it where applicable, see if they then have regular internet access.

On your other question, you can connect them to your ISP router/modem, but it will mean QoS no longer has control over their traffic and therefore means you may experience some lag/issues in game.

Hi Liam, im following your suggest to disable mac randomization but in some devices i can't find the option, such sm-t590 galaxy tab or Redmi note 7.

For me it's not a problem that sometimess rapp don't load it's something i can afford, the main problem is this of these devices.

When i reboot, rapp load flawlessy, my problem on upgrading is that i don't want to do a factory reset since i don't want to setup again router with all port forwarding 😕

It's hard to give you support on an older firmware when the newer one will likely resolve your issues as it is more stable. Port Forwarding isn't entirely necessary so you could probably do without it and still get an Open NAT but you could take a photo and then quickly be able to re-enter them
