[XR1000] [Ping Heatmap] 'The operation is taking longer than expected. Please briefly wait before using this Rapp.'

Recommended Posts

Hello Fraser, Liam,

Ping Heatmap view is not loading anymore. See the attached log file. I switched the Congestion Control from Never To Always, lowered / set the sliders to 70% and then enabled the Traffic Prioritization on a LAN device. Next, I switched from Polygon Mode to Radius Mode and Set Home by Address to my home location and then set it back to Polygon Mode. Next, I just clicked the Ping Heatmap to perform a Ping but the view is not loading anymore.

Looks as though Ping Heatmap has stopped for some reason.

           -> OK.

If you reboot the XR from the interface, does Ping Heatmap load again after that?

           -> I will try a reboot to see if it works again. I tried to avoid this reboot since it will change my WAN IP and maybe the whole setup right after. As far as I know, the ISP is changing the WAN IP from time to time, and those reboots are going to change this WAN IP visble in the Duma OS interface too. Is this also problematic for the router in general or not?

Since upgrading to the latest firmware, have you factory reset the XR1000?

          -> YES, I did perform a factory reset right after.

OK, let us know if it occurs again?

Can you please tell me if the Parameters from DumaOS are written in cloud directly or in the Device/Router memory (RAM or NVRAM)?

I'm not sure what you mean, which parameters are you referring to?

For instance, you can Apply different values for the QoS Congestion Control or Traffic Prioritization parameters (you can drag those sliders and set different values for them). Are those values going to be written in cloud directly or in the Device/Router's memory (RAM or NVRAM)?

No they're local, the cloud is pretty much only used for keeping features up-to-date, your configuration/information is not stored there.
