Alistair_McC
Hi. Had the R2 for a week now and everything has worked seamlessly. Bought a PS5 today and when I connect via Ethernet/LAN, no internet connection is found and it ends up bricking the router completely so no other device has internet access. When I reboot the router it’s ok, but when I connect up the PS5 again it continues to brick the router. Any help guys? Thanks, Alex
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 17, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 17, 2022 Hey, welcome to the forum! That is a very odd issue, not something we've seen before. Does the same happen if you connect the console via WiFi? How are you trying to connect using manual or automatic network settings? Can you provide the log file in the System Information page please when the issue happens? (Force the issue then provide the log please)
Alistair_McC
Hi Fraser, and thanks. WiFi will connect for a short period, but then it will brick eventually. So yes, both Wired and WiFi. Because I prefer wired, the settings automatically update and connect. Hope the Log File helps. Thanks. log-1647561950185.txt
Netduma Liam
Hey Alex, welcome! What time roughly did you reproduce the issue? Just helps us dig through the logs a bit easier. Could you also please confirm which firmware version you're running? The latest version is 3.0.394, if you're not running that I'd suggest upgrading to it and then factory resetting the R2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ctjppykaasmorxp/DumaOS-R2-3.0.394.sig?dl=
Alistair_McC
Hi Liam. I seem to have solved it... I think!? I disabled all my Adblockers on my laptop and put the 192.168.77.1 on the allow list and it seems to worked. The PS5 is connected via LAN and doesn't seem to have dropped yet. If I have any further issues I'll let you guys know! Thanks. Alex

Alistair_McC
Hi guys, So originally I thought it was the PS5 that ended up bricking the router and completely shuts off the internet... turns out I was wrong. It happened because I booted up the console using Ethernet and has done the same now every time I boot up a device that uses Ethernet (but not WiFi). Only just noticed it. TDR; so every time I switch on a device that uses an Ethernet, it completely stops the internet via Ethernet and WiFi, and I have to reboot the R2 in order for the Internet to come back on. All my IPv6 are off for WAN/LAN... DHCP are 168 hours with min at .50... and all my devices are set under .50. I've attached before switching on device and after the device is on. Hope all makes sense. Thanks. Alex log-1647704598778 (before).txt log-1647704702751 (after).txt Edited March 19, 2022 by Alex_Mac90 Missed key detail. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 19, 2022 That is super strange! I've sent you a PM, please try that and then let us know if that helps
Alistair_McC
Hi there. Seems to be a recurring theme that when I restart/reboot my Xbox or PS5 (eg a firmware update or a crash), the internet just doesn't want to connect to either console when it boots up. Having to reboot the router for it to come back to life. Xbox stating it cannot connect to my DHCP server. NetDumaR2 is set at .50 - .250 with 168 LT. Xbox is currently .33 in the DumaOS. Both WAN/LAN IVP6 are disabled.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 25, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 25, 2022 Just to double check, this is after trying my PM and the factory reset?
Alistair_McC
Hi Fraser. Yes that is correct.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 25, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 25, 2022 On each console, instead of using automatic network settings, use manual - then in theory it should just work every time, can you see if that resolves it?
