Muhammad Posted March 6, 2022 Share Posted March 6, 2022 ok all i have a netgear xr1000 my open port will not stay open if i boot my pc or router..i tryed so far opening trigger ports ,forward ports dmz , upnp, sometimes when i reboot pc or router it opens then i restart pc back to moderate ,open static port also am i missing something...also when my nat type is moderate i get no servers in my geo filter, but if its open i get them all something weird is going on i think i tryed everything so far appreciate if u can see anything i miss in open type nat for my pc..thanx right now on m ygeo filter im getting ping asist players thats it.. set distance is 500 ping assist 0 playing call of duty vanguard Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 6, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2022 Hey, welcome to the forum! Having a moderate NAT type won't affect you being able to see the servers. I think part of the issue is you're trying so many different settings, put them all back to default and in WAN Settings set NAT to Open and that should do it. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2022 In WAN Settings there is a NAT option which you can switch from Secured to Open, select open and don't use the DMZ. You don't have to do a factory reset just disable the port forwarding rules etc. You will only see servers on the Geo-Filter when launching the game for the first time and when searching for a game and in game playing. Could you also please test disabling filtering mode in Geo-filter? Once you've done that, boot up your game and check your NAT type with filtering mode still disabled. What's the make and model of your modem? Is your modem a router/modem combo or is it a pure modem? Are all devices on the network connected to the XR1000 or are some still connected to the modem? If you got to Device Manager and click your PC, you can change it's device type to Playstation. After this, remove it from Geo-filter and re-add it, this time selecting 'Choose manually' when asked to pick a service. After that, most games you play will work in Geo-filter. I don't have any recommendations myself for VPNs to use with Geo-filter. Routing game traffic through a VPN will add latency and may introduce other issues.
