Beers
Hello, I can’t log into my netduma r2 interface. I’ve tried factory resetting multiple times and it won’t accept my username and password or the factory default user name and password written on the router. Netduma Liam
Welcome to the forum! Are you holding the reset pin for at least 30 seconds, then leaving the R2 a few minutes to reset? If so, you might just need to clear your browsers cache when accessing the interface again.
Beers
Yes I’ve done both .. and it still will not let me log in.. I tried doing was was asked in a previous thread .. I even turned off my macafee because I think it was initially blocking it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2022 Hey, welcome to the forum! When did this first start to occur? Does it work on another browser or device?
Beers
This happened last night, I thought my internet went down for everything. My Xbox, laptop and ps5 were hard wired to router and none had internet connection. I contacted my provider and was told internet was working. I looked at my interface for r2 on browser and there was an extremely long error message. Like rasp then a bunch of letters and numbers. I did a normal reboot of router. The hard wired devices had internet connection again. I tried to log into my interface. It would just reset to username and password. I tried my password and the factory reset password nothing worked. So I factory reset it then tried again. I’ve don’t this a few times now and nothing. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2022 Thanks for the extra info - have you tried different web browsers and devices to see if any have access? Did you upgrade the R2 firmware at all? If so then to what version? If it's not accepting the default credentials it suggests it's not been reset properly or perhaps an incorrect firmware. Unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, wait 2 minutes then, hold reset for 30 seconds, release, wait 2 minutes and attempt access. Beers
Thanks it seems to have works. I should have the latest version but I can’t get through the setup wizard to confirm. I’m stuck at the wifi details spot. I keep hitting submit and nothing happens … and now the netduma r2 network is gone and I can’t find it when searching for networks ive unplugged power reset it again and it seems to work now. It’s version 3.0.394.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2022 Glad it's working now, it's quite a good firmware so should be more stable from now on, keep us posted! Beers

oO AC3UK Oo
So after following the above I’m still at a loss. I left the r2 unplugged all morning I then booted it back up and did the hard reset for 30secs waited 2 mins and then plunger a cable from the vm hub4 to the blue port and wired in to my laptop. I now have a connection to internet but it’s like the r2 is just acting as a pass through as the connection is named the same as my vm hub and I still can’t access the 192.168.77.1x it if I type 192.168.0.1 I can access my hub4. I’m at a loss I’m not a IT pro and have little knowledge of networking so I’m left scratching my head. is there anything else I could possibly try? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 23, 2022 I think in this situation it's the case of trying quite a few resets until it does come back, we have seen it a few times where it works, unfortunately there isn't really anything else troubleshooting wise that we can suggest. Could you try it 5 times in the same way as you have been doing and let us know if it worked and we can go from there?
oO AC3UK Oo
I’ve set the static and pinged 192.168.77.1 getting request times out then 77.1 will reply for a a few pings and then request timed out again. Multiple resets.

oO AC3UK Oo
I got a friend round who work as a IT consultant and we ‘ Tried it without the WAN cable. Even without the WAN cable it was hit and miss if the connection would stay up. The router would keep dropping the connection as though it was turning the port off then back on. When it was finally stable, we couldn’t get to access the web interface, so he decided to run a port scan which only showed port 22 open, port 80 or any other port that could be used for the web interface wasnt open. please advise
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 25, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2022 As the router has been factory reset you won't get internet through it until the Setup Wizard has been completed so if you do get internet through it that indicates it's not working as it's acting like a switch. When did the issues first start, after rebooting, resetting, changing settings etc? oO AC3UK Oo
oO AC3UK Oo
Since I turned it back earlier this week, so I asked for help on her and followed the steps. 12 months ago I packed it away to move house and finally got round to setting up my equipment again to find it’s not working
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 25, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2022 Interesting, is it possible you're using the wrong power adapter? It's a fairly generic looking adapter but the voltage etc may be different than what you need. The adapter should read 100-240V, 50-60Hz; Output: 12V, 1000mA - is that what you're using? oO AC3UK Oo
Yeah I’m using the original power adaptor that came with it .
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 26, 2022 Do you have another adapter with the same output you can try just in case that has become faulty?
oO AC3UK Oo
I don’t have one the same, but I’m sure it’s not the power supply that’s the issue here.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 28, 2022 Administrators Share Posted August 28, 2022 With just the power and your PC connected to it (so VM removed from it) and removing the static IP, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
