how would i test the nat for pc for vanguard the guide only has playstation and xbox

Do keep in mind Vanguard is showing moderate for a lot of people despite the fact they have an Open NAT. 

You can test PC NAT by going to Settings > Gaming > Xbox networking. Let the test run, it will probably fail, then click fit it when available, wait for that to finish then check again

i did that and it still gives me a moderate nat even when i click fix it

What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to? 

Where are you testing NAT on the console - in game or console network settings?

its connected to a verizon router and im testing it on my pc in the gaming settings

You said you got moderate on your console as well? What have you changed on the Verizon router to ensure an Open NAT?

no im not using console. i tested my nat type in the settings that you told me on my pc and its still moderate

Did you follow the NAT guide above? You'll need to put the Verizon router in modem/bridge mode or put the R2 WAN IP in the Verizon DMZ and that should get you an open NAT.
