K0NSPIRACY
3 hours ago, DOGGAVELI said: well in theory @K0NSPIRACY they have pretty much conceded defeat and have implemented their own geo filtering matchmaking options. What's funny here is COD automatically searches for lower ping games by default and if your local region is low populated it goes to the next close area. So 343 has finally come to the 21st century with their matchmaking options but only time will tell if it works or not. I have felt for so long that 343 didn't care of players outside of the USA that suffered from terrible ping as long as the USA players had host, and great pings it was bad luck for the rest of us. I feel this change it a win for other players from all over the world that suffered from terrible pings and hopefully we can finally enjoy consistent decent ping games because that's all anyone every really wants. Geo Filtering is not cheating its ensuring you connect to local servers and have the best ping to provide you with a good gaming experience. If the game developers implemented this from the start everyone would be much better for it. Have you played the game since the update and read the feedback? What you have posted is a nice theory, but it’s not how the game is working and lots of players are reporting that the game has got worse with higher pings. As an example, I’m based in the UK and in my small play test of 10 games, I connected to twice to Dallas (115ms) and twice to Washington DC (85ms). This is very mild compared to what some other players are reporting…and some can’t even get in to games now at all. ps. Never a truer spoken word than this… ”I have felt for so long that 343 didn't care of players outside of the USA that suffered from terrible ping as long as the USA players had host, and great pings it was bad luck for the rest of us.” …absolutely spot on! 👍 DOGGAVELI
Zippy
343 has said there prioritizing ping.. But that isnt the case for me.. In my case my two closest servers are not being chosen.. Iowa I have 27ms Chicago I have 23ms.. I get put on the East Coast at around 47ms. Or even Texas at close to 60ms.. While this isnt horrible the game vastly plays better when im on my closest two which is either Iowa or Chicago.. I will have to put in another support ticket with 343 on this issue.. The only thing that will help me I believe is for 343 to add server selection like the MCC has now.. There still is something very odd with this game. Thanks! Zippy.
