Server location

I placed my location in the UK to try o it different servers but I’m still connecting to peers and dedicated servers in the USA?  Why is that?

Please provide a screenshot of the entire Geo-Filter page showing what is happening when that occurs.

Put Ping Assist to 0, reboot the console then search again

Got one or two games connected to peers in UK, still connecting to USA dedicated servers however

Do this and it will work:

1. Quit the application/game/client completely
2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC)
4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like - Ping Assist 0, Fast Search Off, Strict Mode On
7. Wait 2 minutes
8. Boot up application/game/client

Anything appearing in the US after that will be an authentication server required for online play.

I did that, now I cant connect to Xbox live and I can’t get a NAT type haha

14 minutes since I’ve last posted, could only get into a game with the filter off

I’m in Boston Ma and keep connecting to Illinois servers, no idea what’s up with This router

Looks like the filter was off in that screenshot or you need to follow the steps again as that won't happen if you follow them to the T - you have to set it before the game/client is on. The idea is to get you the lowest ping servers, not force ones in different countries - you can do so but it will take longer and the ping will be higher

I was trying different countries because I feel like my connection is too good and get destroyed by lag comp…my usual servers in NY that are low ping aren’t even on my heat map, even after resync

Servers can fail to ping on heatmap, we can update that but you'll still be able to connect to them using the Geo-Filter

I did what you said to a T…and did it again to a T, still connecting to some random server in Illinois even though I located my self in the UK…I’m done with this router haha

If you haven't allowed them yourself then they're authentication servers required for online play and will not impact your gameplay experience at all. In both screenshots the biggest icon in Europe is the game server.

I'm having this issue as well, I was trying to force the CoD Vanguard to play only on one dedicated serve in Europe, but it still connecting to USA servers as well. This started to happen yesterday.

Yes, but it's working now, it was just yesterday.
