victorbrazent
Hello, A few days ago DMZ has stopped working. I've noticed that on my console it now detects as NAT Strict and says Double NAT even though my console is directly connected to the R2. I'm not sure what changed as it has been working for so long. I have tried rebooting both my ISP router and R2 to no avail. I have also tried to DMZ my console to the R2 router but it still says the same about NAT being strict and Double NAT. Here are screenshots for your reference. Hope you can help. Thanks!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 19, 2022 If you disable the DMZ on the ISP router and connect directly to that, do you have a moderate/strict NAT still?
victorbrazent
Just to confirm, you want me to disable DMZ from the ISP router and try to test my NAT that way or disable DMZ on the ISP router and connect my console directly to the ISP router? If it's the latter then it's always been Strict when my console is straight to the ISP router.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 19, 2022 Yes the latter, okay in that case it's possible you have a CG-NAT, please follow the section for that at the bottom of this guide and let us know the results http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000076587-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-open-nat
victorbrazent
Yeah, my ISP is CGNAT and the only way for me to get out of that is to purchase a static IP/business account. Weird because it was working for so long. We always had the NAT open. Ugggh. Thanks for the help.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 19, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 19, 2022 They must have switched to it recently and yes unfortunately the only way to bypass it is buy a static IP or change the ISP victorbrazent
victorbrazent
So now that my ISP has enabled CGNAT all of a sudden. What happens to the R2 and its functionalities? Is the DMZ no longer effective? Will the Geo-Filter still work?

The features of the R2 mostly apply to the LAN so you won't notice anything stopping working from what I can think of. It's just the NAT issue that's going to be a bit annoying. victorbrazent
victorbrazent
Hi guys, Is Apex Legends still supported? I've tried geo-filtering with Apex Legends but I am still getting 300 pings.

victorbrazent
I don't know to be honest as I have drawn specific lines on specific servers yet it seems to connect me to a peer with 190 ms ping even though my ping assist is set to
