Ray96 Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 TEST #3 (DIFFERENT ONE). Seems they all do different codes but this one seems like it’s trying to connect? Unsure.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 29, 2021 Administrators Posted October 29, 2021 So the first log indicates it failed on authorization - basically the username/password you entered - I believe there may be a username/password that is not your account name/password that you need to use - not sure if you were using it already. The second log seems to show that the server in the log file is incorrect so probably out of date. The latest I'm not too sure on, seems to be trying to use an IP from a previous config. What servers are you trying to use specifically?
Ray96 Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Europe an Mexico. Well I’m unsure what to do next then. I tried a couple more none of them work
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 29, 2021 Administrators Posted October 29, 2021 Could you double check the username/password thing and see if you need to use another? Contact PureVPN and see if they have configs that will specifically work with OpenVPN Version 2.3.4

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 30, 2021 Administrators Posted October 30, 2021 Try the Linux 2.0 files they provide and see if they work instead, double check with them what username/password needs to be used.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 31, 2021 Administrators Posted October 31, 2021 I think you may need to use a different VPN then until we can take a look at it and update the basic files for it
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 31, 2021 Administrators Posted October 31, 2021 I can pass on to a dev to have a look but there doesn't seem to be anything in the log indicating the issue if you're getting the username/password right so we're limited on what we can advise
Ray96 Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 I sent you the username I use. The password is the password I set correct ? Maybe it’s a different username then the one I showed u?

Usually if you login to your account then look for the OpenVPN config files, it'll tell you the specific username and password you'll need to use for your account there.
Ray96 Posted November 2, 2021 Author Posted November 2, 2021 Maybe I’m looking at the wrong thing. I go to account. It shows my username. No password tho. Idk how to get to open config files on PUREVPN

Ray96 Posted November 2, 2021 Author Posted November 2, 2021 I got it. The password was in a different email. I’m connected to one. But it only lets me connect to one. It says connected but not to where. An I domt notice any difference tbh

Don't notice a difference in what sense?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 3, 2021 Administrators Posted November 3, 2021 Yes that's correct, as it's using a config file it can't tell specifically where it is located but it is working
