1GB fiber but speed is much slower through the R2

I have 1GM speed fiber and when I connect my computer directly to the modem/router via ethernet or wifi I get a speed of 800+ .  (router is 3 ft from computer used for testing)

When I connect via the Netduma R2 which is plugged into the modem from the cable company the speed is much lower like 90 down 70 up.

Do I have it configured wrong?

It may be the cable that is limiting you, can you go to the Device Manager, click the :menu icon then go to table view and provide a screenshot of what you see please?

Yep so the cable connecting the router to the modem is limited to 100Mbits, you'll need to switch it to a cable capable of 1000Mbits and then you should get higher speeds

So I'm having similar issues, much faster speeds from my provider, but much slower speeds and pings are all over the place, both wireless and wired.

What do you recomend Cat 7?

I was using a Cat 6 cable

Cat 6 should be fine, but do try a different cable anyway as it sounds like there could be an issue with the one you're using.

Welcome to the forum!

Could you please start a new topic for your issue?

could the speed slow down be due to the router not in bridge mode?

see below new Cat 6 cable but same speed issue

If there are other devices connected to the ISP router then yes that could be it. Okay so the router should receive high speeds now - are you testing over WiFi as there is no wired device to the R2 currently
