UK_Wildcats_Fans
Randomly about once a week the R2 reboots. I only notice it when I am gaming and get disconnected from the PS5. Could a hack or DDOS cause the router to reboot? I know that it is rebooting because the light stop and then go flashing and the system log is gone with the new time for the reboot. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 22, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2021 Does it seem to happen around the same time/day every week? Does it restore the connection after the reboot? It's unlikely to be a hack, if it was a DDoS then depending on the severity you probably wouldn't have internet right after the reboot. Is it connected to an extender or direct to a wall outlet? If an extender please try an outlet instead.

That may solve your issue.
UK_Wildcats_Fans
I have it on a new surge protector. I do not have any issues with any other devices on the surge protector. I have not really paid attention to it since the frequency of it is so rare. At first I just assumed that I was getting DDOS'ed. I only paid attention to it yesterday when it happened while I was gaming with friends. I went to the log to see whether I was getting DDOs'ed and noticed that I did not have access. I then noticed the lights and system log once rebooted. The logs were blank up until that reboot time. I don't really have any near by outlets. Are there anything that I can monitor for when this happens?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 22, 2021 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2021 It'll be hard to determine the cause I think but when it happens try and think about everything that is going on in the network, then the next time, does it happen in the same scenario and can it be reproduced, that would be most helpful at the moment
